Westamerica
Westamerica Bancorporation
With over $4.6 billion in assets, Westamerica Bancorporation
is the parent company of Westamerica Bank, which serves
communities throughout Northern and Central California.
First chartered in 1884, we've grown into one of California's
premier banking companies, and one of the most stable
community banks in the nation. Our corporate philosophy
stresses a commitment to the communities we serve, with
an emphasis on local management and local decision makers.
Westamerica Bank
The largest subsidiary in our holding company, Westamerica
Bank is a regional community bank with 86 offices located
throughout Northern and Central California. In the early
1980s, the holding company brought its banks together under
the Westamerica name, with one board of directors and one
president. Our senior management team has been a steady
force, attesting to our clear, consistent direction and
long-term stability.
Financial Health and Safety
Westamerica Bancorporation maintains exceptionally
good asset quality, and our capital ratios significantly exceed
regulatory minimum requirements. Our outstanding loan quality,
loan loss reserve, earnings, and capital ratios place us among
the top-performing financial institutions in the nation for
financial health and safety. Westamerica receives continued
recognition by analysts as a very healthy community banking
company. Independent bank rating agencies, including Findley
Reports and Veribanc, consistently reaffirm their positive
ratings. Our stock is traded on the NASDAQ stock market under
WABC.
Relationship Banking at its Best
More and more businesses want a bank that offers the
best of two worlds – the resources and range of services
of a big bank, combined with the flexibility and personal
attention of a small bank. That's just what we do at Westamerica.
With our wide range of business banking solutions, our unparalleled
standard of customer service, and your own Community Banker™,
we'll work with you to design the banking plan that will help
your business grow and prosper. And we're committed to building
long-term relationships, so we focus on your business's individuality
and ever-changing needs, and our credit and other banking
decisions are made locally, not like the larger, impersonal
banks.
